Code/Art Fest is an annual celebration of young female technologists, spotlighting their creativity while expanding awareness of opportunities across fields in art, tech and AI. This one-of-a-kind festival brings together students, parents, educators, artists, and community members who are curious aboutโand inspired byโthe intersection of art and technology.
Attendees can expect:
- Inspirational keynotes. We're proud to share our keynote speakers hitting the stage are: CEO & Founder of Kind Designs, Anya Freeman.
- A musical opener at kick off!
- Hands-on workshop tracks for students grades 3-12. (Please pre-register at check out and bring a laptop!).
- Free Cafecito Conversation for Parents to join while their kids attend the student workshops. (Please pre-register at check out)
- (2) Hackathon options for students in grades 6-12 hosted by Imagi and Riders Robotics. Winners of each will be announced during closing ceremony. (Please pre-register at check out and bring a laptop!)
- STEAM expo full of interactive activities for all ages. Partners include Comic Kids, Minds of Tomorrow, Moonlighter, Girls Scouts of Tropical FL., Women in Computer Science, Miami-Dade Public Libraries, PAMM, Superblue and more.
- Digital art exhibit featuring projects created by Code/Art students and professional artists using technology in innovative ways.
- Student pitches during Changemaker Pitch Competition. Each team member of the winning team will each receive a $1,000 scholarship!
- Educator Track for South Florida Teachers. .
- Closing awards ceremony for national competitions that is broadcasted live on Code/Art's Facebook & Youtube

StoryBot Lab: AI & Machine Learning in Action
Host: Minds of Tomorrow
Info: Participants will step into the world of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to discover how smart systems learn, adapt, and make decisions. Through hands-on exploration, they will build and modify their own AI model inside Scratch, teaching it how to respond, react, and generate creative outcomes.
Using coding logic and simple machine learning concepts, participants will design an interactive AI-powered character that can help generate a dynamic story. By the end of the workshop, each participant will have created a functioning AI-inspired Scratch project that produces a unique, AI generated story experience. Please pre-register at check-out and bring your own laptop (limited lender laptops will be provided for students who need them).

Info: Unleash your childโs creativity and problem-solving skills in this hands-on workshop where Minecraft becomes a powerful STEAM learning tool! Students dive into the world of Minecraft modding, creating their own items, blocks, and mini-features using kid-friendly coding platforms. Through fun challenges and guided projects, participants will explore key STEAM conceptsโengineering, physics, coding logic, design, and digital creativityโall inside the game they love. Perfect for curious builders and young coders, this workshop helps kids: Learn the fundamentals of coding through Minecraft mods, apply STEAM principles to solve in-game challenges, build creativity, collaboration, and computational thinking, design a world that reflects their imagination and ideas. A fun, safe, and educational experience that merges play with real-world skills. No prior experience is required. Info: Our Future Tech LeadHERs Teen Track is for girls and non-binary students in grades 9th-12th happening from 9:45am-12:45pm. During the track, Participants will get to network with like-minded girls, lunch and learn with mentors and learn both technical and career readiness skills. Info: Cafecito Conversations for Parents: Raising Creative Coders is a welcoming, judgment-free space for parents to connect, share challenges, ask real questions, and gain practical insight into guiding their children toward success in technology and STEAM. Over coffee and conversation, parents will explore what it really means to support creative, tech-curious kids in a rapidly changing world.
Join Dr. Alexis Cobo as she unpacks how AI is already shaping education and the real worldโand what parents should know now.

Info: Be sure to check out our Peopleโs Choice voting booth! This in-person competition is for all South Florida finalists (10 per grade division) of our #CodeYourSelf competition. All attendees can vote for their favorite self-portrait and determine the South Florida Peopleโs Choice Winners!

Info: Students use natural-language prompts and AI tools (via Lovable) to build and customize their own games(students can come and go after they check in and do not have to stay in the hackathon area the entire time). All entries will be judged by a panel of judges after the 2:30pm deadline. Winner will be announced on stage and receive a fun prize! Please bring your own laptop and charger.
Note: While all middle and high school students are welcome to participate in this activity, only female students will be eligible for the competition portion.
