~ Cacao Ceremony ~
Cacao is a powerful yet gentle plant medicine, mood enhancer, and antioxidant that protects the heart and is densely packed with nutrients - proven to be the most pharmacologically complex food in nature! It can improve your memory, reduce heart disease, shed fat, boost immunity, and create loads of energy. Cacao contains the neurotransmitters responsible for feelings of wellbeing, as well as anandamide, known as the bliss molecule that leaves us feeling blissful and euphoric, moderating pain perception, as well as assisting in regulating appetite and mood. When high quality beans are prepared for ceremony, all the mood enhancing neurochemicals in cacao become particularly active. It increases blood flow and nutrition to the brain, heart and skin, and the whole body is nourished.
Sacred Cacao ceremony participants report heightened awareness, focus and intensified sensations.
Cacao healing for the body, but also for the soul and spirit as it is heart opening and an amazing meditation aid.
~ Nada Yoga - Dissolution into Sound ~ “Nada Yoga is the oldest yoga in India or perhaps in the world. Since the dawn of humanity, humans have used sound and voice to communicate as well as to connect to their environment and inner beings." - Jivasu There’s a less well-known branch of yoga called Nada Yoga which translates as the yoga of sound. The aim of Nada Yoga is to bring about harmony and balance in your body if you feel tense, anxious or stressed. Sound has been used throughout history as a healing tool. From Shamanic drumming to yogic chanting, sound can help elevate your energy and shift your vibration and soothe your nervous system. Nada Yoga has two branches - producing sounds (like chanting, reciting mantra, humming, Om, etc.) or receiving sounds. In these classes we will predominantly focus on the second, allowing you to relax and dissolve the mind and all worries into pure vibration.
~ Yoga Nidra - The Bliss of Yogic Sleep ~ Yoga Nidra is a form of guided meditation also known as “yogic sleep” or “effortless relaxation”. It’s usually practiced lying down with a teacher guiding the session. The practice draws our attention inwards, and we learn to surf between the states of wakefulness and sleep, where our body finds its natural state of equilibrium (homeostasis) – the breath balances and becomes quiet, unconscious and conscious aspects of the mind reveal themselves, and we fall into an innate state of deep, blissful awareness. Yoga Nidra takes us effortlessly into a state of harmonious, restful being. From here, we can be healed, restored and awakened to our deepest, all-knowing, all-welcoming self. It’s a sublime practice, gaining popularity the world over, and ongoing research continues to prove its effectiveness.
