About this Event
Hosted in conjunction with Malynda Madzel of Try It Out Comedy and mixologist, Kimberly Prescott, host of the HR & Cocktails podcast.
We're celebrating Black Philanthropy Month and Black Business Month with Cocktails & Comedy, a FUNdraising event bringing together community stakeholders and business owners.
Cocktails & Comedy and will feature:
- A comedy showcase featuring WOC comedians
- Fantastic brunch food
- Hand poured brunch-y cocktails
- WOC Vendors
But it's not just about the food and entertainment. Since launching in July 2021 The 3rd has achieved so much:
- 125+ members
- Serving WOC entrepreneurs from Harford County to Alexandria, with monthly webinars and networking
- Secured lease of 8000 sq ft space
Buildout of offices and stage- 7 community partnerships including Community Ecology Institute, the Women's Giving Circle of Howard County and Busboys and Poets
With your help we can do so much more! Funds raised from this event will go toward operational costs, launching our podcast studio and curating more valuable programming for our members.
