Cocktails and Chromosomes

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is proud to kick off the 2025 "Cocktails and Chromosomes" series! Join us for this unique event series happening on the last Thursday of every month (changes to dates occur during the holiday season) at Ninnet & George's (formerly known as Industry bar) in Huntington, NY. Head-on into the back, where a world of science awaits!

Doors open at 6:45pm, event starts promptly at 7:00pm. Seating is first come, first serve! Event ends at 8:00pm.

This is your chance to dive into the world of science, learn more about the Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, and get to know the brilliant minds behind the cutting-edge research taking place in your backyard every day... all while enjoying your favorite cocktail!

Here's what to expect:

Engaging talks: For roughly 20 minutes, a talented CSHL scientist will deliver a captivating talk about their work and their lab's discoveries—making science accessible, understandable, and enjoyable for the whole crowd.

Interactive Q&A: After the talk, quench your thirst for knowledge by asking questions and engaging in discussions with the scientist and fellow attendees.

Cold drinks: Throughout the event, attendees can purchase a wide variety of drinks; from beers to hand-crafted cocktails made by Industry's own mixologist.

Fun raffle: Upon arrival, attendees can fill out a raffle ticket. A lucky winner will be selected at the end of the event and go home with cool, CSHL merch or a special, themed prize.
