This instructional, demonstration-style class breaks down the core cocktail families that form the foundation of nearly every classic and modern cocktail.
Instead of memorizing recipes, you’ll learn the underlying structures that drive balance, flavor, and style—giving you the tools to both understand cocktail menus and confidently build these drinks on your own.
In this class, you’ll explore:
• The idea of cocktail “families” and how variations evolve
• Spirit-forward, citrus-driven, aromatic, bitter, and tall cocktail structures
• How small adjustments create entirely different drinks
• How to recognize, adapt, and build classic cocktails with confidence
Representative classics will be demonstrated throughout the class, with guided tasting samples provided to highlight technique, balance, and flavor.
This class builds on Cocktails 201 and is ideal for anyone ready to move beyond individual drinks and start thinking like a bartender.
