Cockermouth Volunteering Fair

This Cockermouth Volunteering Fair aims to attract anyone interested in finding out more about becoming a volunteer and local volunteering opportunities. This event is open to the general public to come along and find out about volunteering.

This Cockermouth Volunteering Fair will take place on Friday 4 October from 10.30am-12noon at United Reformed Church, Main Street, Cockermouth, CA13 9LU. We ask organisations to arrive at 10am for set up.

This face to face event will bring together a range of organisations that are looking to recruit new volunteers from the West Cumbria area but in particular Cockermouth.

By attending the event volunteers will find out more about local organisations that are looking to recruit new volunteers, the wide range of local volunteering opportunities available, when and where volunteers are needed and how to become a volunteer.

We kindly ask that each organisation that attends brings displays, posters, leaflets, information, and application forms to hand out to potential volunteers. We ask organisations to attend for the full event and to talk to any potential new volunteers about:

• What your organisations Volunteering opportunities available
• Time commitment
• Training and support available
• How volunteers can register to become a volunteer.

Closing date for bookings is 15 August 2024 to allow time for publicity and promotion. Places will be confirmed after the closing date.

By registering your interest in the event, you are agreeing for your data to be stored and used by CVS. This will not be accessible to the wider organisation and will be used for the purposes of this event, to meet your needs.
