The market AGM is where we wrap up the year that was and start looking ahead to the year that will come. And getting ready for our major events - the twilight markets in December and March!If you'd like to be a part of this amazing team, please do come along and join us. Whether you are interested in an ongoing role with the committee, or just want to put your hand up to help out at the markets on an ad hoc basis, we'd love to meet you and find out how you can help. The market has become a much-loved part of the Cockatoo Community over the years and we want to make sure the Cockatoo Community is also part of the market!
If you are interested in helping the market out a little or a lot, we would love to have you there. Please see below for a little more information about available roles either as Market Day Volunteer or joining our committee.
Would you like to help the market with just a few hours of assistance one Saturday per month?
We are currently looking for Market Day Volunteers:
🌅Volunteers to assist with market/stall setup from 6:30am-8:30am (from 1pm-3pm for twilight markets)
🌄 Volunteers to assist with market/stall clean up from 1:30pm-2:30pm (from 8pm-9pm twilight markets)
👷👷♂️🦺 Volunteers with current traffic management tickets willing to assist with Stop/Slow bat duties during morning markets for an hour or two each month
If you have a little more time or energy to give to the market we are also looking for community members to join the committee to assist with:
💻📱 Advertising and social media
📧📅 Stall bookings and site plans
⚠️🅿️ Signage deployment and collection
💳 Compliance Admin (insurance, permits, liaising with Council, equipment maintenance, etc)
👥 All committee members will also need to assist with markets, as well as attending a monthly committee meeting (either in person or on Zoom).
