What happened in 2023?!

Last summer, with the help of natural building expert and Mud Girl, Clare Kenny, our Still Moon Arts Society staff, community members, and dedicated volunteers, came together to build a whole Cob Shed! We mixed clay, straw and sand to build up a beautiful garden shed as an onsite storage for the Colour Me Local Dye Garden.

This 2024 spring season, join us for the decorative next steps! We're plastering the building with minerals and pigments right from our local dye garden. Join us for a 5-day work party, enjoy some vegan chili, roll up your sleeves and prepare to unleash your creativity on the walls of our community-built structure.

The Schedule:

  • Tuesday, April 23 | 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM
  • Wednesday, April 24 | 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM
  • Thursday, April 25 | 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM

  • Saturday, April 27 | 9:00 AM-1:00 PM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM

What else to expect:

We'll be doing sketches in the ravine for inspiration, taking photos, making clay gargoyles and nature-figurines to guard the rafters of the building structure, and working together to creatively envelop the Cob Shed with a protective layer of plaster.
