This year, Coastcare Victoria is hosting a forum to celebrate the contribution of marine and coastal volunteers towards environmental stewardship, and 30 years of the Coastcare Victoria Program.
Date & Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm on Wednesday 22nd May 2024
Location: The Views, 200 The Blvd, Port Melbourne VIC 3207 on Bunurong Country.
Join us for an exciting day of network-building and knowledge-sharing as we look back to look forward, featuring:
- Presentations from local volunteer groups and previous Coastcare Victoria staff on their successes, learnings and achievements.
- A screening of Nyamat Mirring Sea Country – Evaluation Video, produced by the Gunditj Mirring Traditional Owners Aboriginal Corporation, the product of a 2021 Coastcare grant.
- Keynote speech from Scott Breschkin, Oceans Project Coordinator at the Nature Conservancy, on restoring marine ecosystems.
- Round-table discussions and Q&A sessions
- Full agenda to be provided to registered participants closer to the date.
