Coastal Walk - North Haven Towards Largs Bay and Return

Join us as we take a walk from North Haven towards Largs Bay and return on Saturday 3rd January 2026.

WALK DETAILS
We will walk for approximately 90 minutes along the Coastal Track from Jaycee Park in North Haven towards Largs Bay before returning to our cars back at Jaycee Park. This is an easy grade 2 walk along urban shared use paths.
There is the option to include some sand walking if walkers are keen.

MEET TIME/LOCATION
Please arrive at our meet spot below at 7.45am ready for an 8.00am start.
NOTE: if the temperature is forecast to be 32 degrees or more on the Bureau of Meteorology website at 4pm the day before the walk, the start time will be 1 hour earlier
The walk starts and finishes at Jaycee Park, Lady Gowrie Drive in North Haven.
There are toilets near the start/finish location.

Don’t forget to print off your I.C.E. Medical Details Form which you can download from our website.
Your walk leader will have spare forms with them if you are unable to print from home.

WEATHER AND GEAR

If the weather forecast is for extreme weather, this walk will be cancelled the day before and fully refunded.
We will only cancel last minute (by text message and email) if there is a severe weather warning/thunderstorm warning or weather events that are likely to impact on the safety of our leaders and walkers.

Due to the variability of the weather, the following items will be needed:
- a daypack/backpack/bumbag or similar to carry your personal items
- 1-2 litres of water
- sun protection (hat, sunnies, suncream)
- wet weather gear (check the forecast and plan accordingly!)
- blister kit/personal medication
- any snacks/fruit you may wish to have along the way
- comfortable walking shoes
- layerable clothing for before/during/after the walk (eg. jumper/jacket)
Please ensure you have the minimum gear required as no refunds are possible after booking. If you arrive underprepared without wet weather clothing or the gear listed above, our Leaders have the right to ask you not to walk with us for safety reasons.
Note: All our leaders carry group first aid kits, emergency communication devices and are qualified walk leaders.

OTHER INFORMATION
Our walks are all about fun, fitness and friendship - not a personal training session. If we cannot walk and talk at the same time, we are walking too fast! And we never leave anyone behind.
Minimum age for our walks is 18 years of age.
For the walk to go ahead, we need a minimum of 6 walkers registered by the registration closing time (5pm the day before the walk). If a walk is cancelled due to the minimum number not being met, participants who have registered will be notified by text the evening before the walk and a refund will be given.
During our walks, photos may be taken for use publicly on our website, social media channels and e-newsletter. If you do not wish for your photo to be taken/used, please notify us via email - [email protected]
