Coast Care is turning 30 – and you’re invited!To celebrate this milestone, we’re hosting a series of events during Volunteer Week to say a big ‘thank you’ and nga mihi to the communities and volunteers who have given their time and energy over the years to help protect and restore the Bay of Plenty coastline.
We’re incredibly grateful for the collective volunteer hours that have been invested into this programme to help make it the success it is today, so come along for a Coast Care celebration!
What’s happening?
• We’ll start the day with a bit of social planting, to do good for the dune and for each other.
• Light refreshments and kai will be provided – you can’t do the mahi and not get the treats!
• Our partners will say a few words to show our thanks and celebrate our wonderful volunteers.
When and where?
• June 16, 9.30am to 11.30am at Karewa Parade, Tauranga
What do I need?
• Gardening gloves (we will have these on hand, but some prefer to use their own)
• Sturdy, covered walking shoes/boots (no jandals or bare feet please)
• Raincoat (just in case).
Please keep an eye on the weather forecasts. If MetService issues a red weather warning, this event will be cancelled.
