This circular short and social 5 mile/8km pub walk in the Ironbridge Gorge starts and ends at the Black Swan public house, Jackfield TF8 7LZ What3Words: ///trickling.rungs.detective. We climb from the riverside up into the woods called The Crostan, descend into Lee Dingle and then skirt the perimeter of Blists HIll Museum, across fields and footpaths, eventually crossing the river passing Maws Craft Centre and the Tile Museum and back to the pub for lunch or drinks. This walk is a mixture of footpaths, grassland tracks, woodland paths and paving. Total ascent 295ft/ 90m. Both the walk and the pub are dog friendly. It can be wet and windy in January so there might be fallen branches and tree stumps to step around and paths around Blists Hill Museum might be particularly muddy so poles and gaiters may be useful. Boots/strong footwear advised. Parking will be limited so please car share where possible. You will need to pre-book a meal with the pub so please let the leader have your choices by the evening of Monday 5th January. The pub need the list on Tuesday 6th. Menus will be put on our WhatsApp group or I can email individually on request. My email address is c.round579@ signbtinternet.com
