Join us for our biggest community event yet — the Coach’s Buck Pole! This longtime Michigan tradition is all about bringing hunters, families, and friends together to celebrate the season. Whether you’re hanging a buck, enjoying the pig roast, or just soaking in the atmosphere, it’s a day to connect, share stories, and enjoy the outdoors. Everyone’s welcome! Hunters, families, and anyone who loves good food and great company.Location: Coach’s Pub and Grill – 6201 Bishop Rd., Lansing, MI
Date: Saturday, November 15
Admission: Free until 7 PM
Time: 10 AM – 12 AM (Winners announced at 11 PM)
Purpose: A community event where hunters, families, and friends can gather to enjoy food, drinks, live music, and friendly competition.
Timeline
10:00 AM – Start taking deer
11:00 AM – Pig Roast begins
4:00 PM – Beer Tent opens
8:00 PM – Band starts
9:00 PM – Deer entries close
11:00 PM – Band break & winners announced
12:00 AM – Band ends
Buck Pole Competition:
Hunters can hang their bucks to compete for prizes.

Kids, Overall, & People’s Choice (popular vote)
Prizes: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category
Winners Announced: 11 PM

Pig Roast – Community meal centerpiece starting at 11 AM
Whole Hog Sandwich Specials – Available until 7 PM
Busch Lite Specials – Available until 7 PM
Beer Tent – Opens at 4 PM
Entertainment & Family Activities
Live Band: Starts at 8 PM and plays until midnight
Kids’ Activities: Free hot cocoa bar
Participation prizes for ages 16 and under
Kids Buck Pole with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes
Donation: Proceeds or contributions benefit the Michigan Out-of-Doors Youth Camp
