Lindy Mesmer, from Blacksburg, Virginia, is currently a company artist at the Joffrey Ballet. Prior to that, she was an apprentice at the National Ballet of Canada from 2020-2023, and trained on scholarship at the School of American Ballet from 2016-2020. Lindy received her early training from Dancetech and Radford University Ballet Youth. Between 2013 and 2016, she placed annually at Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP) regionals, and won the Gold Medal at the NYC finals in 2014. In 2013, she danced the role of “Clara” in the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, New York. In addition, she is a 2020 YoungArts Finalist/Winner in Dance, and a 2020 semi-finalist for a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Award.
