Creative health offers a different approach to health and wellbeing - one that mobilises creative, cultural and community assets to support people to live well for longer” (National Centre for Creative Health). This symposium brings together practitioners from the fields of creative health with those working with creative media practices. This event focuses on exploring how we collaborate creatively with communities, taking a moment to explore the ways in which we aim to enrich lives through artistic discovery, engagement and participation. In these difficult times, we are looking ahead and asking how we can contribute to ideas around health and wellbeing projects in ways that provoke experimental approaches to media production.
Talks by: Lindsey Dryden, Emmy® award-winning producer and director; Dr Noyale Colin, Lecturer, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance; Laura Joy, Arts Manager, University Hospitals Dorset; Dr Lizzie Sykes; Martin Sharp; Dr Brad Gyori and a workshop with Dr Becca Savory Fuller
