“Firestop and Fireproofing Inspection Deficiencies – Now What”
This presentation is an overview in preparing for and implementing an inspection deficiency plan in regards to the life safety items that may be found to need repair. AAC has provided remediation services for numerous healthcare facilities during the post-inspection process and we’d like to share our experiences and hopefully, provide some insight into how to make that process smoother for all involved.
Learning Objectives:
- Inspection deficiency information exchange
- Managing repairs in conjunction with facility staff
- Completed repairs and follow up documentation
This presentation will be based on the following learning objectives:
1) Identify the best way to exchange deficiency information.
2) Coordinating an access plan with facility staff
3) Communicating with facility staff the status of repairs including those repairs that cannot be completed for various reasons
4) Completing close out documentation
Presented by: Randy Reiss and Anthony Camiolo
Randy Reiss – Randy has been in the construction industry for over 30 years with the last 20 years in firestop and fireproofing. He has previously owned an FM4991 approved firestop company where he was the DRI (Designated Responsible Individual) for 15 years. He moved to AAC where he is building up and training the next generation of firestop and fireproofing professionals.
Anthony Camiolo – Anthony is a next generation firestop and fireproofing professional. He was promoted from the field where he was an installer on some of AAC’s larger jobs. Anthony is currently a firestop/fireproofing estimator for AAC as he trains to become the company DRI.
