For Adoptive, Kinship, and Guardianship Families in Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Madison, and Tompkins Counties! With a location in Cortland County.
When: Saturday, November 22nd
Time: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Where: Pottery Works Cortland in The Cortland Corset Building, 75 East Court St., Cortland NY
Join us at Pottery Works in Cortland
Come create and connect as a family! You and your child(ren) will have fun glazing/painting a ceramic tile during our Family Fun Day – “Glaze Your Own!”. Pottery Works is a fully equipped pottery studio that will have professional artists working with you and your child to create a beautiful clay tile. Your creation will be fired by Pottery Works and will be ready for pickup at a later date (your Family Support Specialist will also be able to deliver your finished project to you). This amazing event will build connections between you and your child as you have fun creating a family keepsake.
Once you arrive at the Corset Building, please park in the paved parking lot rather than the gravel lot. The gravel lot is for loading/unloading and is used by shipping trucks which we don’t want anywhere near your car! There is a reserved handicap spot right outside our door, should you need it.
How You Can Prepare for Pottery Class First and foremost: Pottery is a messy art. You will want to wear comfortable clothes that can get wet and stained without worry – both will happen! Close-toed shoes are best, and folks with long hair will probably want to tie it back out of the way.
