A Free, In-Person, Parent Support Group for adoptive, foster, or kinship families in Central New York ~ Serving Broome, Cayuga, Chemung, Cortland, Madison and Tompkins counties with a location accessible for Chemung families!All parents are welcome to join us while Youth Hangout Community Group runs simultaneously! We’re thrilled to announce the return of our in-person Central New York support groups for adoptive, foster, and kinship caregivers, facilitated by CNY AGAPE and Kinship (KCSP) staff. Each facilitator brings their own lens of lived experience (foster parent, adoptive parent, adult adoptee).
Join us for our monthly Central New York Caregiver Connection LIVE Chemung County group, where we’ll delve into crucial topics such as:
* understanding our children’s behaviors
* fostering parental resilience
* tackling school challenges
* addressing social and emotional hurdles
* exploring therapeutic versus traditional parenting approaches
We welcome all parents and caregivers seeking a compassionate and understanding community to connect, share, and grow together!
What to Expect: The youth hangout community group and the parent group are both held at the same time and place, so parents and kids can both get the support they need! We can’t wait to see you!
2026 Schedule:
January 30th (5th Friday), February 27th, March 27, April 24, May 22, June 26, July 24, August 28, September 25, October 23, November 20 (3rd Friday) , and December 18 (3rd Friday).
Light meal will be provided!
