Seeking Student Participants for CMU's Scopeathon for Social Good!
TWO DAY EVENT:
Friday, February 7th | 7 - 9 PM &
Saturday, February 8th | 10AM -6PM
Ready to use your skills to make a real-world impact? Unlike traditional hackathons focused on coding, the Scopeathon focuses on scoping civic data and tech projects—a crucial first step in creating solutions that are actionable, adopted, and create impact.
We will engage organizations from the Pittsburgh area to define and scope projects aimed at enhancing their programs. Students from Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh will work in teams with peers who share a passion for using data to drive positive change, collaborating with local nonprofits and government agencies to scope civic data and tech projects to create impactful solutions.
Benefits of Participation
- Collaborate with Purpose: Partner with local organizations to scope impactful projects.
- Drive Change: Work on initiatives aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
- Learn & Grow: Master scoping tools with CMU's Data Science for Social Good Lab
- Expand Your Network: Connect with professionals dedicated to social good.
No matter your field of study, your unique perspective can shape solutions that matter. Spots are limited—don’t miss your chance to scope for social good!
