There will be a reception held on Wednesday, November 20 from 6:00pm at the Butcher and Bullock , 915 Pender St in Vancouver. The reception is also open to those who cannot attend the conference. Again this year, we are holding a toy drive for the Lower Mainland Christmas Bureau. For every unwrapped toy brought to the reception, a free beverage ticket will be provided. We encourage you to bring as many toys as you can and there is no limit! If you would like to provide a cash donation instead, you can either go directly to the link following https://www.canadahelps.org/en/dn/121370 or use the Toy Drive Ticket option in the registration process.
Early registration for this year’s meeting and reception will be $345 for regular members and $50 for students, payable by credit card online via Eventbrite. The rate for authors will be $200. If you are only interested in attending the reception, the cost is $70. Early registration is open November 1st and late registration will be $395 for regular members and $70 for students, thereafter.
This year’s conference will feature a keynote presentation TBD. If you are interested in presenting a paper, please contact Brent Hilsher at [email protected] or Sarah Prout at [email protected] by October 30th, with your abstract. The format of the presentations is a PowerPoint file approximately 20 minutes long – no written paper is needed. The selection process will give preference to papers with content relevant to operations especially with content related to the BC/Yukon region.
Finally, if you are interested in sponsoring this year’s event and the initiatives of the BC/Yukon Branch in general, please contact Steve Prystie at [email protected]. Sponsorship helps subsidize the cost of the event including student registration as well as provide scholarships and donations to other organizations that the CMP supports. Typical sponsorship amounts range from $500-$5,000, but any contribution is greatly appreciated. Sponsorship can be done via Eventbrite or by cheque directly. Sponsors will have their logo displayed at the reception, throughout conference and via LinkedIn.
If you need further information about the meeting or sponsoring, please feel free to contact Chris Burke at [email protected].
We look forward to seeing you in November!
