What is Dyslexia?
Dyslexia is a language-based learning disability that affects reading and spelling skills at the word level.
Why Screen?
By screening for early warning indicators of characteristics of dyslexia, teachers and instructors can better pinpoint areas of concern and design support.
Important to Note:
- Children must be at least 4 years of age - 12th grade and do not have to be enrolled in CMCSS.
- The parent/guardian must remain on-site during the screening.
- Results from screeners will be shared with the child's school if they are a CMCSS student.
- If a student has been previously screened for characteristics of dyslexia, please bring or share that information in the registration link.
