All places for the Friday evening are now taken but if you would like to join us for the SATURDAY, billed as “Soutar Saturday” as we learn more about Perth-born poet William Soutar, you will be very welcome to join us.

Following our very popular visit to Mount Stuart on the Isle of Bute last October and at the suggestion of Jock Meikle and Sandie Dawe, we are visiting Perth in September. Perth Burns Club (Donald Paton, Elliott Boyle) have been hugely supportive with this. Highlights include:
• "Burns in Perth" themed evening to be held at the Royal Perth Golfing Society. Will include a Stovie Supper and entertainment by PlaidSong (Nicky Small and Syd House) as well as other informal contributions from Perth and London Club Members.
• “Soutar Saturday”. It is proposed to have a Soutar Walk on Saturday morning, 13th September, taking in significant locations as well as insights on poet William Soutar and recitals of his poems.
Delighted to say that this event is more or less sold out*. The limiting factor is the Stovie Supper in the RPGS for which we have 27 members and guests attending. This leaves space for about 20 Perth Burns Club members. Royal Hotel and RPGS reservations have been made and members informed.
