*CLUB SCORCHER* - has been invited back by the New Untouchables to run a *Club Scorcher* night at their Brighton rally. I've done them for the last two years, but relatively low key, BUT not any more. This year I've decided to up the anti, and run these nights the same as any Scorcher night - or not at all.
So, this years Brighton event will feature the mighty *Sounds & Pressure* sound system, and there'll be live visuals of the actual records being played, and it's all happening at the Komedia night club. The Kodedia is a great Club with reasonable priced drinks, large maple wooden dance floor, air conditioning, and late bars.
The free afternoon meet and greet, that you all love is also catered for, and right on the famous Brighton sea front, at The Volks Bar, under the arches, with vintage clothes and record stalls, music and bars, which is part of the new untouchables rally.
Brighton also has the added attraction of the vintage shops, bars and restaurants in the lanes. Loads to see and do.
Just like the last Scorcher at Knutton, this Club Scorcher event has all the right ingredients to be a brilliant night, and just like Knutton it just needs your participation to come along and have a great time with friends and like minded people. So, like they say, use it or loose it.
One note to finish on, people say "why don't you do another Margate", well this is it, same do, just different seaside resort.
Some background on the Scorcher events. They are a yearly event held in the West Midlands, and the biggest one night 1960’s Reggae & Soul event of the year, attracting the faces on the current original skinhead/Suedehead style scene, mods, smooths and all fans of the original 1960’s Ska, R&B, Rock Steady, Upbeat Soul, Reggae, and Funk. Always a trouble free event, with the emphasis on quality music, style, and dance.
All music is played on original 7” vinyl, from the mega rare to the classics, but all with the beat to make you move your musical feet, as we want you to dance, and experience some quality tunes you may not have heard before.
