Club Oranje Raptors - Tryouts 2023-24 Soccer Season

We are excited to provide opportunities to join the Club Oranje Raptors for the 2023-24 season!  This is a soccer club based serving families in Upper Arlington, Grandview, Hilliard, and other areas for families looking to develop their skills and love of the game of soccer.  Fees are lower than most clubs and provides great access to enjoy the fun of this game.  We have teams playing in OCL, Buckeye Premier, and other leagues.  Come join a great club that is focused on the fun of soccer! 

Below are opportunities to join the club and how to register for tryouts.  Oranje Raptors will be conducting player evaluations for the following age groups / genders:

Boys:

• U7 (2017) - U15 (2009) - birth years

Girls:

• U7 (2017) - U15 (2009) - birth years

There will be multiple times during the year tryouts will be offered by the club. Also, tryouts may be offered by joining an existing practice. If a tryout date is not currently being offered, individual or small group tryouts may also be an option.

• Fall Season Tryout: Monday, May 22nd - 6-7:30PM (Fancyburg Park, 3375 Kioka Ave, Upper Arlington, OH 43221 - Near Tennis Court Area)

What to bring: Please be sure to bring a soccer ball, wear shin guards, and bring something to drink.

Arrive 20 minutes early: Be sure to arrive 20 minutes before the evaluation to check in, etc.  Check-in will be located on the soccer fields.  Any questions can be addressed by sending an email to [email protected].

COACHING NEED: Some age groups & genders are subject to forming teams based on having someone willing to coach that team. If you are interested in coaching please indicate that on the registration form. If you know someone interested in coaching please encourage them to register. We are a parent based coaching organization. You do not need to be a parent of the player on team to be a coach. Benefits of coaching include free team fees, ability to be directly involved with the team, set own schedule, access to leagues/teams, and the overall support of the Raptors Organization. New head coaches will be provided by the club field flags, training pinnies, disc cones for drills, and 3 team shirts to be worn at games & practices.

Pre-registration required for tryouts: Registration for tryouts are free, but required in order for us to plan total numbers on the day of tryouts. Please be sure to complete the registration form. Thanks!

Player Evaluations details:: All player evaluations will occur at Fancyburg Park located at 3375 Kioka Ave, Upper Arlington, OH 43221.  We will utilize the soccer fields that are located at the middle of the park. Players will be evaluated based on dribbling / passing skills, ability to play the game, 1v1, 3v3 and team play.

Team Fees include the following items:

• Fall Outdoor Season (August - October): Includes 7-9 league games and weekly practices. 1-2 tournaments
• Winter Indoor League (January - March): 8 indoor soccer games
• Winter Indoor Training (February- March): 6-8 indoor practices
• Fall Outdoor Season (August - October): Includes 7-9 league games and weekly practices. 1-2 tournaments
• Spring Outdoor Season (March - May): Includes 7-9 league games and weekly practices. 1-2 tournaments (some teams will end in April)

Fees are $700 to be paid $350 by July 31st, and 2nd payment Dec 31st.

** Does not include the cost of uniforms, purchased seperately before the start of the season (with a second optional ordering window prior to the spring season)
