- Refunds requested two weeks before or after camp will not be reimbursed until after September 1, 2022. If a refund is based on an illness in which the student could not attend camp at all, proper medical documentation is required. Reimbursement requests made after camp has started must be sent within the 2 weeks following the end date of the camp. Camp refund requests are determined by the Columbia County 4-H Agent & Georgia 4-H.
NOTE: Before registering your child, please make sure he or she is comfortable with being away from home overnight for a week, especially if your child has never been away from home overnight for an extended amount of time. NO REFUNDS are given for children who go home due to HOMESICKNESS, ILLNESS, or BAD BEHAVIOR. Cloverleaf campers, please make sure your child is comfortable staying overnight away from home for several days. The required recommendation form is included as a separate Google Form and within the paper PDF application.
FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
Columbia County 4-H has several opportunities for students to fundraise to help ease the financial burden of going to a 4-H Summer Camp. The more you sell, the cheaper camp will be. We have had several students in the past completely pay for camp plus some by selling Vidalia Onions & Country Meat Sticks! Students can earn 20% back in 4-H credit by selling Vidalia Onions and up to .25 cents back for every meat stick sold. Information and order forms for these fundraisers are available at .
SUMMER CAMP GOALS FOR YOUR CHILD
The #1 goal of Georgia 4-H is to make sure our campers are SAFE, part of an INCLUSIVE & WELCOMING environment, and have the BEST camp experience they can possibly have. Columbia County welcomes ALL CHILDREN to camp with us no matter what medical concern, disability, allergy, or special accommodation the camper may have or need. Our 4-H staff and volunteers will go above and beyond to make sure that your child is well taken care of in the best way possible. In order for us to best take care of your child while he or she is at camp, please fill out the REGISTRATION QUESTIONS regarding the particular needs of your child completely and thoroughly. The more we know, the better we can assure your child has the best week of camp possible.
Feel free to reach out directly to the Columbia County 4-H Agent, Kelli Cody Brookins, regarding the needs of your child. [email protected] & 706-541-4011
