Celebrate the festive season with the enchanting tradition of Clovelly’s Christmas Lights switch on - now in it's 25th year! On November 30th, the village will come alive with holiday spirit. The fun will start at 2pm with a Santa's Grotto in the donkey stables at the top of the cobbles (£5 per child). After greeting local and visiting children, Santa will join the parade down the street at 4pm, with singers stopping to sing some of your favourite carols along the way.
Down at the harbour, you’ll find plenty of festive treats, including tea, cakes, and mince pies in the boat house, Christmas grog, and delicious hot food courtesy of our friends at North Devon Hog Roast. When the procession reaches the bottom of the cobbles, there will be a carol service complete with accompaniment from Woolsery School Children's Choir and special guests the Wreckers Coast Choir.
Afterwards, the switch will be flipped and the whole harbour and village will be illuminated with a breathtaking display of Christmas lights as fireworks burst overhead - a sight not to be missed!
For a perfect end to the evening, enjoy a bite to eat in the Red Lion or a cosy drink by the fire in the snug.
Entrance £5 per adult from 2pm, under 16s free. All proceeds go to support the lifesaving work of Clovelly RNLI.
Our special thanks to Howards Motor Group and Devon County Council for their generous support.
