Plastic Family is a brand-new band bringing the power back in pop, with songs at the very heart of everything they do. Drawing inspiration from the golden era of pop music — from Wings and Supertramp to Paul Collins & The Beat and Raspberries — they blend melody, energy, and sweet harmonies into a sound that feels both fresh and timeless.
The group features seasoned players from the Dutch underground: Giles Young (MOOON, The Colour Collection), Fleur Elman (FLEUR, The Colour Collection), Frankie Fuzz (Frankie’s Strange Machine), Jim Remers (FLEUR, Frankie’s Strange Machine) and Jan Kleijn (The Hook). United, they form a collective built on strong songwriting, infectious hooks and most of all loads of energy.
Their debut 7” single “Love & Heartbreak in High School”, will arrive in early 2026 on Echo Archive Recordings — marking the beginning of a journey filled with energy, harmony, and rock ’n’ roll spirit.

Heavily influenced by mid-sixties European beat, especially Nederbeat (Outsiders and Q65 are their main influences), they have several European gigs under their belt, performed at festivals (including Festival Beat and Berlin Beat). If you love Dutch Beat, the wild sixties R&B and the “Stones-like ballads” you can’t help but be impressed by the Backdoor Society!

He is coming back to the Cloud 9 weekender for another fun weekend in Rimini. He’ll be bringing some of his fave 45’s for your partying pleasure.
His Work is his passion as DJ/Producer/Compiler of Le Beat Bespoke album and 45 series as well as Mousetrap anniversary 45’s.
Promoter at the New Untouchables and Le Beat Bespoke in the UK and with the Trouble & Tea crew at the YeYe in Spain.
His fave rave is still the Mousetrap Allnighter in London which just celebrated an incredible 33 years.
🎧FREAKCARLOS (ITA)
Carlo Espero aka Freakcarlos is involved in the 60s Mod scene since mid 90s, and djed at the best 60sMod/Psych clubs and weekender across Europe, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Greece, Austria and Italy of course.
He collects and play the white side of 60s music, mainly UK psych, freakbeat, garage etc. but it doesn’t matter what the style of music it is, the important thing is keep my eyes on dancefloor and see people dance so, expect to hear heavy funk and soul with a psychedelic touch.
