ABOUT THE BOOK
Clottee A. Hammons presents her illustrated book, Jelani’s Search For The Perfect Life-Saving Energy (paperback, $18) which is dedicated to every person who has suffered with depression and the people who struggle through it with them. It is especially dedicated to those who cannot verbalize their sadness.
Jelani's Search for the Perfect Life-Saving Energy is accompanied by community activities that encourage intergenerational communication, when it is not easy or possible to find the right words.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Ms. Hammons is an Artist, Curator, Writer, Poet, Activist, Educator and Prevention Specialist. She views her special call as a "community builder" and works in grateful collaboration with numerous artists, ARTS organizations, and individuals while being conscientious and mindful of honoring her ancestors. She created art, curated exhibitions, cultivated collaborative relationships, conducted cultural competency engagements for organizations, organized literary events and musical performances in addition to conducting community engagements in the downtown Phoenix area for over 25 years.
