(For adults & teens) We’re excited to be partnering with Plastic Free Milwaukee and Mount Mary University Fashion Department on this fall’s Clothing Swap at our Riverside Park Branch. Bring sweaters, jeans, wares, and swap them for new fits. This is a SWAP- Not Drop. Everyone is welcome! (you don't need to bring anything to participate!)

Find a new top and make it a crop, or learn how alter a top to be the perfect fit from students with the Mt. Mary University Fashion Department. Students will be present and available for some fun fit consulting or ideas for your new season's sustainable swaps! Come check out the "Design Room" where Designers will be altering and creating some new wares out of some of the brought swaps! Enjoy the day going back and forth from the Clothing Swap to the River View in the Park! See you there!
With the United States producing 11.3 million tons of textile waste that goes to the landfill each year we need to curb our consumption. Don't buy new. Thrift, reconstruct or swap! How Fun! Re-connect with your community to discover creative ways to share what we have and make sure it's wanted and used.
Larger thrift shops can't keep up with our clothing consumption, so there is a lot of exportation of textiles. And we know this is not a kind solution. Swoop on in to participate in the swap, and check out some resources of how we can become more creative and connected to solutions of what to do with our 'ready to donate wares'.
