Small Stitches, Big Impact! 🧵✨We are so excited to host Ryleigh, a student from Walkerville Collegiate, for a special community project! As part of her Equity studies, Ryleigh is tackling "clothing inequality" right here in our cafe.
What’s happening:
Clothing Repair Pop-Up: Bring in an item that needs a minor repair or a simple alteration! Ryleigh will be on-site with her sewing machine to help extend the life of your wardrobe for free.
Clothing Drive: We are collecting gently used clothing donations for the Downtown Mission.
When: Sunday January 11th from 11-2pm
Come grab a coffee, support a local student, and help us give back to our community. See you there!
Start the new year out by doing some good!
Clothing insecurity is when someone lacks the ability to access clean, properly fitting, and situationally or weather appropriate clothing. This is a basic human right and one that is commonly overlooked.
