About this Event
The Keys to Beginning Reading professional development course provides background knowledge needed to teach all the components of foundational reading instruction and is aligned with the science of reading research.
The instructional practices are designed to easily transfer to classroom lessons and can be integrated with any reading curriculum or reading program. This facilitated course will align with knowledge needed to proceed with Praxis 5205. K-6 teachers, Special Education, Instructional Coaches and Administrators are invited to participate! This series consists of two full-day sessions.
This series is Title III consortium eligible.
45 PGPs will be awarded by Keys to Literacy for the two full days and accompanying asynchronous course work.

Day 1 (September 30), you will come to your local ESC to receive materials and training through a hybrid model from our statewide trainer, Melissa Gill. Day 2 (February 3) you will join us virtually from the location of your choice.

Pay via Invoice
If you need to pay for your registration via invoice, you may do so by selecting your ticket and then choosing the invoice option at check out.
Cancellation Policy - Cancellations made before the payment settles (usually within 24 hours) will be 100% refunded. Cancellations made 7 calendar days or more in advance of the event date, will receive a 90% refund. Cancellations made less than 7 days of the event will receive a 75% refund.
Please note this event will be held in person. In the case of unforeseen circumstances (such as inclement weather or situations beyond our control), alternative arrangements will be considered. Thank you for your understanding and enthusiasm for our commitment to in-person engagement.
