TRAIL of Johnson County, the aging-in-place nonprofit, invites you to attend “Closing the Gap: Healthspan vs. Lifespan,” an informative and inspiring five-part seminar series taking place each Thursday in October at the North Liberty Community Center, 520 W. Cherry St., North Liberty, IA. This series is FREE and open to the public.
The series kicks off with lunch at 12:30 PM on Thursday, Oct. 2, and a powerhouse intro by Jan Jensen, UI Head Women's Basketball Coach, followed by "Optimal Wellness: A Proactive Approach" by Julie Fitzpatrick, DPT.
All subsequent sessions run from 1-2:30 PM and include:
• October 9: "Partnering with Your Physician for Optimal Health"
• October 16: "Balance, Strength & Beyond: Aging with Confidence"
• October 23: "Total Joint: Understanding Your Options, What to Expect Before, During & After Surgery"
• October 30: "From Setback to Comeback: Optimizing Recovery" and "Safety and Independence: Tools to Aid Daily Living"
