About this Event
On this night, we will complete a ritual honoring of the mother archetype, assisted by local nurses and doulas. The Closing of the Bones is a traditional postpartum ceremony that originated in South America. It is initiated to support women's physical, emotional, and spiritual recovery after giving birth. We will be expanding this practice in order to honor the journey that we have endured throughout the year. During this event, local nurses and doulas will gently wrap participant's in a rebozo (scarf) and offer comforting touch with soothing background music from sound bowls. All women are welcomed. You do not have to be a mother to attend. This will be a beautiful journey within to close our year with reverence and gratitude for all we have experienced. This event is facilitated by Lisa-Marie Del Rio, Psy.D., Feminine Psychologist. All guests will receive a rebozo and a gift to cleanse themselves and prepare for a new year.
