Step into Fracture, a vivid collection of pop surrealist and contemporary abstractions by Dallas-based artist Ross von Rosenberg. This exhibition explores the spaces between beauty and dissonance, chaos and reconstruction—where fragmentation becomes a form of visual poetry.
Through bold juxtapositions and subversive layering, Ross creates works that evoke place, depth, and psychological tension. Some pieces invite pure aesthetic immersion, while others unfold into deeply personal narratives, each one a balancing act between control and surrender.
Influenced by a wide-ranging lineage—from Caravaggio to Basquiat, Duchamp to Dali—Ross brings together classical technique, modern abstraction, and the raw spirit of pop surrealism in a body of work that both challenges and captivates.
Fracture is not just a collection—it’s a visual landscape of tension, imagination, and the compelling beauty found in breaking things apart.
Artist Statement
Fracture is a collection of work about the universal human forces, external and internal, that pull us apart or bind us together. Fear, love, time, vice, safety, wants, needs, hopes, dreams, disappointments, and relationships; all forces that exert their will on everyone by virtue of existing in the world. And no matter the armor of our choosing, we will prove to be vulnerable to them just the same. The collection is an expression of this in two parts. Part one, is the external expression universally across the human experience. Part two, is the internal expression as abstracted emotion that struggles to maintain balance and control within ones self. -Ross von Rosenberg
