28th San Diego Latino Film Festival will present a “pop-up” Drive-In movie theater experience for our Closing Weekend Celebration at Westfield Mission Valley. Enjoy a 55ft screen, state-of-the art digital projection, red carpet, step & repeat, & live music! Movies will be screened in the mall’s parking lot area over by Chipotle and Pei Wei, across from the Target parking lot. There will be two entrances to the drive-in: one off Camino de la Reina and the other off Camino del Rio North.
Double Feature movie Info: Showing #1 (7pm): El Retiro (Argentina, PG-13) is an inspiring and charming intergenerational dramedy about the importance of the family we're born into and the family we choose. When a doctor retires, he unexpectedly finds himself the guardian of a young boy, prompting him to reconnect with his own daughter. Through these experiences, he finds a new lease on life as he enters a new chapter. Showing #2 (9pm): TBA
Live Music: Kimba Light (High energy dance provoking Urban Latin Band!)
Cost: $40 per car for “Double Feature” & live music. Fit as many people as you want in the car :)!
