DIFFERENT PACKAGES AVAILABLE:
- €60 for 8 hours of class (with breaks) across the entire weekend;
- ⁠€40 for all 4 beginners/basics classes (11am-12pm and 3-4pm each day);
- €40 for a full day of classes, either the Saturday or Sunday (11am-1pm and 3-5pm);
- ⁠€25 for each 2 hour beginners & improvers/intermediate session (including a 15 minute break);
- ⁠€15 for one 50 minute beginners class.

Brian Ahearne, a swing dance teacher from London, will be teaching a weekend of beginners, improvers and intermediate level
PARTNERED swing dancing classes at The Coachman in Clonmel on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th May 11am-1pm and 3pm-5pm each day.
NO PARTNER REQUIRED. ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS ABSOLUTELY WELCOME. You can come on your own. We'll be rotating partnerships frequently through the classes, so you do not have to come with a partner. If you can invite people, even absolute beginners, the whole class would very much appreciate it.
The theme for this weekend is:
CHILLED OUT DANCING TO FAST MUSIC.
There's lots of Dixieland / 20s Style jazz played by bands in Ireland with high beats per minute. Great for the buzz of getting your heart rate up but perhaps leaving us out of breath after just a few songs. Contemporary Lindy hoppers typically dance to music between 120-180bpm. This weekend will give you some options to dance to very fast music for longer durations without sweating buckets (but you'll still probably sweat some pints.) NB: it is NOT a fast dancing course, although there will be some quick moves and nimble footwork.
This weekend will also give you an understanding of the development of the Harlem Renaissance dances, from 20s Charleston, to Breakaway, to Lindy Hop / Jitterbug.
Will there be social dancing afterwards? Stay tuned.

- 11am Beginners Partnered 20s Charleston Class
- 12pm Improvers Partnered 20s Charleston Class very fast music
- 3pm Beginners Breakaway
- 4pm Improvers Breakaway to very fast music
Sunday 4th May
- 11am Beginners Simple Steppin' Six Count
- 12pm Improvers Simile Steppin' Six Count to very fast music
- 3pm Beginners Eight Count
- 4pm Improvers Eigh Count to very fast music
Each 2 hour session starts with 50 minutes of the basics & fundamentals suitable for absolute beginners and as an essential refresher for the improvers/intermediate class of the session.
