In 1980, Clive Gregson’s band, Any Trouble signed to Stiff records and critically acclaimed albums and hit singles followed.
Clive released his first solo album in 1985 and he has maintained a profile as a terrific performer and a respected producer. His partnership with Christine Collister was called ‘The state of the art in British Folk-Rock’ by Rolling Stone.
He has performed and recorded with Richard Thompson, Nanci Griffith, Eddi Reader & Boo Hewerdine and Plainsong. He was the musical director for the Dennis Locorriere Hits & History tour in 2007, which resulted in a gold album.
Kim Carnes, Fairport Convention, Claire Martin, Nanci Griffith and Norma Waterson are just a few of the artists that have recorded his songs.
Clive Gregson is listed in Guitar Magazine’s 1,000 Great Guitarists.
