Event: Clintonville Author Showcase with Host, Ann Fisher
If you love books and lively discussions, you won't want to miss this event! Join us for an engaging in-person conversation as former WOSU Radio Host and journalist Ann Fisher interviews Clintonville authors Karin Cecile Davidson (Sybelia Drive, 2020) and Tamsen Dalrymple (The Sentinel, 2024). The wartime homefront perspective of both books will make for an interesting dialogue.
Sybelia Drive is a story of three friends who push beyond the typical woes of childhood into teenage years transformed by the shared baggage of a generation, years when men walk on the moon; students are killed during a peace demonstration at Kent State; and the obligations of military service claim the lives of fathers, husbands, and children.
The Sentinel is the story of a lonely young woman struggling to maintain the newspaper that has been in her family for nearly a century. Evelyn and her friends spend long days running the businesses their husbands and brothers left behind when they went to war.
Delicious tea, coffee, fruit drinks, and snacks will be available from Little Moon Cafe.
The event will start at 6. Please arrive a few minutes early to have time to order drinks and get a snack.
Books will be available for purchase.
