Manchester music legend Clint Boon, best known as the charismatic keyboardist and songwriter for the iconic Inspiral Carpets, is heading back to Sunderland for a very special night at 7even.
🎶 Clint Boon has spent decades shaping indie culture - not only as part of one of the defining bands of the Madchester era, but also as a hugely respected DJ, radio presenter, and champion of new music. From massive tours and festivals with Inspiral Carpets to hosting cult radio shows, Clint’s name has become synonymous with the best in indie and alternative music.
Sunderland has always held a special place for Clint, as he was once a regular DJ at both 7even and Ku Club, and now he’s returning for an unforgettable late-night set:
• 12:30am – 3:00am: Clint Boon on the decks
Supporting on the night is another Ku Klub legend, DJ Tim Bradwell. As the resident DJ at Ku between 1992 and 2009, Tim defined the soundtrack for generations of indie fans in Sunderland.
Adding even more heritage to the night, 7even’s own Dave Redfearn - company director and former Ku DJ/promotions manager (2000-2009)- was responsible for bringing indie icons like Clint Boon, Rick Witter, Mani, and Shaun Ryder to Sunderland. Dave and Tim are passionate about keeping the spirit of Ku alive, and this night is set to do exactly that.
🕚 Tim Bradwell kicks things off from 11pm until 12:30am
🎧 Clint Boon takes over from 12:30am - 3:00am
🎶Tim returns to close the night, keeping the party going until 5:30am
