ABOUT THE CLINIC HORSES MUST BE 4 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
This clinic is for anyone who owns a horse – from competition riders to those who don’t ride but just want to improve their horse’s posture, and their understanding of their horse.
• Do you want to learn how to improve your horses core strength and balance?
• Has your horse had an injury requiring rehabilitation?
• Does your horse lean on your hands or sit behind the bit?
• Have you wondered why certain movements create tension?
• Does your horse knock rails, stumble or trip?
• Does your horse feel better in one direction than the other?
• Are you struggling to build your horses topline?
• Has your horse had a physical injury?
• Do you want to improve the longevity and comfort of your horse?
• Would you like to learn exercises to enhance your horse’s movement?
• Is your horse young and you want to create a great foundation?
• Is your horse older and a bit stiff and you would like exercises to aid better movement?
This clinic is suited to any horse of any discipline as it is a functional posture and mobility clinic. The only prerequisite is that they have handling skills on the ground and understand basic aids.
This clinic is about empowering you as the horse owner to be your horses best advocate and enhancing your skills to aid their posture. Posture is power both physically and mentally. Postural stability leads to strength, reducing injury risk, improving wellbeing, longevity and reducing behavioural challenges.
During this 3-day functional posture and mobility clinic you will develop an eye for postural compensation and learn how to use methods including postural awareness groundwork exercises (for horse and human), variable feeding positions and spinal (carrot stretches) and limb activations and mobilisations to release tension and develop the best foundations for your equine partner.
You will learn how to posturally and physically assess your horse, learn how to feel key areas in your horse’s body to identify underlying issues, and grow your understanding of your horse’s body and how to aid them in optimising movement through skills in dynamic mobilisation exercises and in hand postural exercises.
This clinic is also super value for non-horse participants as you get to observe all of the horses and learn from a wider variety of examples. There is also access to videos of the foundation exercises.

ABOUT TORI JEFFRESS
Tori teaches and trains according to classical dressage principals, with a strong focus on spinal alignment, the function of the body beneath the surface of what we can see, and how we as riders are affecting the functioning of the horse biomechanically when we work them. Understanding basic anatomy allows us as riders and horse people to be able to promote correct muscle development, the stronger the structural foundation the more physically able, balanced and therefore willing to perform the horse becomes.
Tori works with horses and owners of all levels across various disciplines.
Classical dressage is for any horse, the intention is to strengthen the horse’s body. A healthy body means a healthy mind.
Tori offers training in:– groundwork, in hand or ridden work, rehabilitation after injury, rehabilitation of behavioural issues, bitless and liberty riding.
