Donner Summit, a crown jewel of Tahoe climbing, offers trad, sport, bouldering, and multi-pitch routes on gorgeous granite, with incredible views of Donner Lake and Truckee.
Professional Climber Adrian Ballinger says "“Donner is one of the easiest places to learn - it all!”. Although not much is known about the history of Donner climbing before 1970, rumor has it that Yosemite big wall pioneers Warren Harding and Royal Robbins, frequented the summit in preparation for the Yosemite climbing season - and now you can too!
