There are some of the scenarios that every climber should be prepared to deal with. The skills taught in our Rock Rescue Course will provide the tools to deal with just about any situation you encounter.Over the course of this class your professional Outdoor Adventure Club guide will teach you skills and then present scenarios in which to implement the skills. On Saturday you will learn to manage a belay from above, create hauling systems, how to escape a belay, arrange safe and efficient rappels, ascend ropes, and improvise variations of all these systems. With the skills in place at the end of the day, we will have time to practice a few "real-world" situations on the rock.
This class is very much hands-on. You will be tying the knots, building the systems, raising, lowering, ascending and rappelling.
