About this Event
With this event, we are gathering people together to share examples of unique sister city and cross-sectoral collaborations that have helped to address urban climate resiliency challenges particularly as this relates to flooding from chronic and extreme storm events (i.e. property and critical infrastructure damages, water quality degradation of receiving waters, community vulnerabilities).
We will also take a deep dive look into what types of funky new partnerships will be needed to innovate and develop new solutions when working toward urban climate resilience. This event is co-organized with Rambøll, Brooklyn College-City University of New York, the Technical University of Denmark, and the City of Copenhagen. Together, with select high-level presenters and event attendees, we will explore what can be accomplished if we think outside the box and reimagine new types of creative partnerships for addressing urban climate challenges.
High Level Speakers Include:
Pinar Balci, Assistant Commissioner, New York City Dept. of Environmental Protection
Stine Cecilie Brink, Copenhagen Municipality, Unit Head- Area for Climate Adaptation and Urban Renewal
Mandy Ikert, Head of Adaptation Implementation and Water, C40 Cities
Additional speakers to be announced shortly.
