It’s the last day of school term and students have called for another Climate Strike to make climate action a priority again. Join us at Puke Ariki Landing for a hīkoi to our local New Plymouth District Council. The mayor and some councillors are calling to remove the ban on oil and gas exploration. We say that’s not ok in a climate emergency. Demand council continue to support the ban on fossil fuel exploration and support a community led just transition off fossil fuels.
Bring banners, placards, noise makers, chalk and your friends and whānau. We aim to be finished in time to catch after school buses home.
