About this Event
We hope to build a diverse community of people interested in solving Climate Change related problems through innovation.
Session 3 will focus on Energy. Most of the people who signed up for the mailing list are interested in Energy.
During the first session, members came up with four different solutions to eliminate disposable food/takeout containers from Cambridge ecosystem. One of those solutions was a valid startup idea that could've taken shape with four interested members, who were open to new ideas. In the second session, we led with a hypothesis of a system solution for built environment.
In the first session, folks enjoyed brainstorming with diverse group and in the second session, folks learned quite a bit about the built environment. So, planning for this session to be a combination of the two sessions.
If you're a potential startup founder, you can lead a group with your idea. If not, group can brainstorm and come up with a new idea.
Here's the current approach:
- Foster peer-to-peer learning with content from diverse sources
- Organize discussion roundtables with parallel thinking principles
- Enable authentic connections in an empathetic environment
Target audience: Engineers, Scientists, Entrepreneurs, Conservationists, Policy advocates, Students, Artists, and Misfits. No prior knowledge required.
Background material would be shared with registered participants and brainstorming session is conducted using six thinking hats method. Roundtables are currently organized in-person only. Participation is limited to about 20 members per session. Snacks will be provided, please bring your own dinner.
Community values:
- Respect each other: Empathize with others, value others’ opinion, no judgements, honor RSVP, arrive on time, avoid using phone during workshop, etc.
- Be fully present: If you're speaking with someone or brainstorming in a group, please focus your attention in that moment
- Be open to new ideas :)
Climate is a system problem and we need a system solution!
P.S.: If you're interested, but can't make it for this event, please sign up for the mailing list to be in the loop for future events. If you have any questions, please email Yogi at [email protected]
