Did you know El Paso and Hudspeth County's shattered temperature records were due to over 60+ days of extreme heat? Join us for a unique and informative session exploring how extreme weather affects our communities and the gases that cause climate change. There are two great opportunities to learn about and weigh in on important endeavors happening.
Discussion involves:
Borderplex Safe Mobility Plan: Learn about this critical initiative focused on creating a plan that will guide the region toward identifying investments that will support greater roadway safety. The plan considers all roadways within the El Paso Metropolitan Planning Organization (EPMPO) footprint, and the public will have the chance to provide input on the safety challenges facing roadways, sidewalks, trails and transit facilities.
Chihuahuan Desert Climate Collaborative Climate Insight Open House: Hear from experts working to address climate challenges like extreme heat, drought and flooding and the sources of greenhouse gas emissions.
