About this Event
Unison Glasgow City and XR Glasgow present Climate Crisis Cinema: we fundamentally believe that climate breakdown is a trade union issue. One that demands the industrial transformation of all economic sectors of society with universal access to breakthrough technologies that will make our industries and our jobs sustainable for workers everywhere. However, governments at local and national levels appear to wallow in rhetoric without taking the necessary actions to move towards the low carbon economies that we need to survive in a world where rising global temperatures are making extreme weather events all the more common and deadly. Climate and trade union activism can combine to achieve shared goals through practical solidarity. Film screening and post-film discussion.
