About this Event
✨ Welcome to our Climate Café on sustainable design!
From physical products to digital services, design shapes how resources are used, how long things last, and how people behave. But as products and platforms grow more complex, a key question remains: How can design actively reduce environmental impact instead of reinforcing overconsumption?
This Climate Café panel explores sustainable design across physical and digital worlds, bringing together perspectives from Ecodesign and Sustainable UX. While Ecodesign addresses materials, production, and product lifecycles, Sustainable UX focuses on interfaces, user behavior, and digital systems — and how design choices influence energy use, accessibility, and long-term impact.
Sustainability doesn’t happen only in factories or supply chains. It also happens in user flows, defaults, interactions, and the everyday decisions shaped by design. This panel looks at sustainability as a systemic design responsibility, spanning materials, interfaces, and behavior.
