Climate Cafe- Resilient NE Part 1: The future climate and coasts
The climate is changing and we need to become reslient to it. In the first of a two part series Aberdeen Climate Action wish to explore what the future of the weather, rivers and coasts in NE Scotland are likely to be like. Four speakers will offer 10-12 minute talks as follows;
Prof. Simon Tett of Edinburgh University will tell us about the future of our weather.
Dr Neil Fraser of the Scottish Association of Marine Science will tell us about AMOC (Atlantic meridional overturning circulation)
Ian Hay from East Grampian Coastal Partnership will tell us about the future of our coasts
Another speaker (to be recruited) will tell us about the future of our rivers and flooding
Then we will have a Q&A session.
The event will start at 7pm but feel free to come in to NESCOL from 6:30 as there is a cafe so you can get a drink and socialise with the other attendees. Please note, the easiest way to find the Climate Cafe is to use the Loch Street entrance to NESCol.
