About this Event

Feelin’ it?

Let’s talk about it … in community.

Climate Cafe is an opportunity to share, listen and connect with folks who are concerned about climate change and its impact on individual, local and global levels.

This is a mindful discussion group. It is not a lecture, therapy group, or an informational meeting. It is not about guilt trips or judgment. It is also not a group for debating whether climate change is “real”, or whether it is human-induced -- we take that as a given, based on overwhelming scientific evidence.

Climate Cafe is a safe place for deep listening and mindful sharing of experiences, resources, worries, hopes and ideas. It offers an opportunity to see what emerges when people come together with respect and caring for each other, Earth and all her beings.

Here are some possible reasons you might be interested in attending. If just one resonates with you, please join us!

You are worried about climate change, and how it will impact our lives, or the lives of our children;

You are fearful of how climate change will impact the rest of the globe, including vulnerable populations;

You are experiencing feelings of depression, anxiety, or helplessness about the future of our planet;

You are not sure how to talk to talk about your concerns, or whom to talk to;

You are wondering what action you can take - individually or collectively - to impact climate change;

You are wondering what (if anything) is happening in your community to make a difference around climate change.

The challenges that we are facing cannot be solved in isolation. There is substantial evidence that talking about the “hard stuff” helps process emotional distress, feel a sense of connection, and increases clarity of mind for conscious and purposeful response.

Climate Cafe offers community, resources, and support for facing, mitigating, and adapting to the personal and global changes that we are all experiencing.

Each Climate Cafe is limited to 18 participants. Registration is required.

Join us and let’s talk about the weather -- internal, as well as external.
